There are a couple of upcoming art and gift shows that I have been invited to participate in. The first is by Oh sweet Sadie! . The dates, times and places are in the flyer above. Or you can click on the link and it will take you to their site. The second is The Annual Sundance Children's Festival at the Sundance resort on Saturday, June 14th from 11am-4pm. I will post more information as it gets closer. I was also interviewed by the Deseret News yesterday and will post a link to that once it is published. And, last but not least, I will be featured on the channel 2 morning show in May. I will also post more information on that as it gets closer! We are so excited to have been invited to participate in these boutiques and also ecstatic for all the publicity.

Here is a link to the how-to for the wooden blocks on Martha's site. We have been getting a lot of emails and phone calls regarding the name of our company. If you noticed, at the end of the Martha show she asks if the name of our company is Basic Grey. Actually, it isn't. If you are looking at this blog, you know the name of our company is Hiccup Inc. Basic Grey is the company Jake works for and where I get all my paper products from. Thanks to all those who watched the show! It was a blast and we are so glad we were able to go to NYC. I will post more about our trip later.

After rubbing elbows with Martha, I'm sure mine will be super soft. Our trip isn't all business though. We will have the chance to check out the alpha city of commerce and finance since we have never been before. No worries...pictures will follow.

So, where did I leave off....oh ya'...MARTHA STEWART BABY!! Crazy huh! Producers of her show contacted us, one thing led to another, and BAM...we are going to be on her LIVE show on April 16th!! It's nuts! We can't wait to go and show off all the great products from HICCUP inc.

Hiccup Inc: How did it all happen?

So, how did this "Hiccup" thing all get started? Well, here we go. Jake is working for this rockin' scrapbook company called Basic Grey. They have rad paper, but I really am not "scrappy" at all. So he's designing super cool stuff and I'm not doing anything with it...until...I had an idea. What could I make out of this paper...or any other paper for that matter...that could be super cute for Milo's (my little sidekick) room? Then...the flood gates opened and ideas came pouring in. I played around for awhile, producing things and decided to put them on etsy. Next thing I know, I get an email from Martha Stewart's production team asking me for samples! WOW! Who knew?
